Fully deserves his own "goodbye" thread.
Thanks Ben

Re: Ben Halloran Departs Adelaide United
One of my favourites.
Unfortunately didn’t fit into the new system, and being second to 17 year olds would have been frustrating.
Hope his passion is re-ignited at Brisbane. Scored some great goals too.

Re: Ben Halloran Departs Adelaide United
There's no doubting that he has been a top player for us, but I always had the feeling with Ben that he could have been even better if he had improved his finishing. That was the main difference between him and Goody for me. His goal to game ratio was pretty average.
He was definitely better during his first stint at the club. It's been a steady, downwards trajectory since his ill fated spell in Korea.

Classy player and seemed like a top bloke but just something wasn't working for him this season.
Wish him all the best.

Re: Ben Halloran Departs Adelaide United
Sad to see Ben go but it certainly looked like he fell out of love with the club this year. One of my favourite players, casually elegant and clever on the ball. But as someone else has said, he's been off the pace and the return hasn't been there. He'd probably argue that being chopped and changed in terms of position and playing time never helps - and he'd be right.
In the end, his 'south-coast surfer' attitude probably never mixed well with Carl's 'Raging Bull' approach to management.
Genuinely decent human being by all accounts. I wish him well wherever he goes and he'll always get a cheer from me when he comes back.
